For fingerprints and general marks, gentle disinfectant wipes or standard non-abrasive surface cleaners are perfectly suitable.

Avoid aggressive scrubbing.

2. Avoid Harsh Chemicals

Do not use:

• bleach
• acetone
• thinners
• solvents
• abrasive cleaners
• steel wool
• scouring pads

Harsh chemicals may damage the sealed finish and affect the appearance of the surface.

3. No Sanding Required

MikroSkin is supplied with a sealed protective surface.

Sanding or abrading the finish may:

• remove the protective sealer
• create dark hand marks
• increase staining
• permanently alter the appearance

If damage occurs, replacement of the affected panel is recommended rather than sanding the surface.

4. Heat & Impact Protection

While MikroSkin is highly durable, excessive heat and sharp impacts should be avoided.

We recommend:

• avoiding direct contact with hot cookware
• using protective pads where possible
• avoiding dragging sharp or heavy objects across the surface

5. Storage Of Leftover Material

Any unused material should be:

• stored flat
  or
• tightly rolled

Keep material:

• away from direct heat
• out of prolonged sunlight
• free from folds, pinches, or creases

Improper storage may permanently damage the sheet.

6. Repairability

One of the benefits of MikroSkin is the ability to replace individual panels if damage occurs.

For best results:

• retain leftover material where possible
• store it correctly
• keep a record of your selected colour finish

7. Water Exposure

MikroSkin is designed as a decorative water-resistant surface for interior applications.

Standing water, excessive moisture exposure, or poor sealing practices around edges and penetrations should be avoided.

8. Long-Term Appearance

Over time, surfaces naturally develop character through everyday use.

Proper care and gentle cleaning will help maintain:

• colour consistency
• ease of cleaning
• the integrity of the sealed finish
